Think anti aging skin care guide and what’s the first thing that comes to mind? To most of us, anti aging skin care treatment entails sitting around for at least 30 minutes a day with some form of gooey gunk slathered all over the face. While that may, to some extent, make your skin look younger, that’s certainly not the only way to acquire youthful looking skin.

Here is an easy to follow and painless anti aging skin care guide that anyone can follow in their quest for skin that looks young and feels smooth:

Anti Aging Skin Care Guide for Younger Looking Skin

Tip #1 – Cut back on the tanning.

While it has been widely acknowledged that sunlight is essential for good health, over-exposure to sunlight is downright harmful. Sunlight in the right doses helps the body to produce Vitamin D. Too much sunlight, however, causes a reduction in the production of hyaluronan, an essential component of the skin that helps to repair skin tissue. This leads to premature aging and wrinkling of the skin. Though sunscreens help, their effect is limited over extended periods of time. Besides, sunscreens often contain chemicals that are in fact bad for the skin.

Tip #2 – Stay Hydrated.

This one is so simple – we overlook it in favor of over-priced anti aging skin care products and treatments that come in fancily packaged jars. Instead of going to such extremes, one of the best things you can do for your skin is to drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. It keeps your skin looking hydrated and youthful instead of dry and wrinkled like an old shoe. Remember to drink clean, filtered water that is free from all impurities.

Tip #3 – Maintain a Skin-Friendly Diet.

Life Expectancy Increases Worldwide

Since the dawn of time, life expectancy has gone up and down depending on several factors. Neanderthals, for example, had an average life expectancy of 20 years. The short life span was likely caused by a way of life that was much more dangerous than we now know.

Mankind’s never-ending race to find the fountain of youth may never be over, but the more we learn about the human body, the healthier we are for it. Even in today’s world of fast food and desk jobs, people are finding ways to eat healthier and live longer. Recent life expectancy studies show an average of 78 years in the United States.

According to University of Pennsylvania demographer Samuel Preston, “We (in the United States) are two to three years behind most Western countries at this point. We may be gaining, or not gaining, depending on the rate at which their life expectancy is increasing. The male versus female difference in life expectancy has declined over the past 15 years. It was previously eight years; it’s now five. Another positive trend is that the life expectancy of blacks has been increasing relative to that of whites.”

Average life expectancy in Japan is 82 years. Some residents of the Japanese island of Okinawa rank among the oldest people on the planet. In 2002, nearly 35 people per 100,000 there were over the age of 100.

Andorra is a small nation in the Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain. Its residents hold the top spot for longevity. Andorrans can look forward to a life expectancy of 83.5 years on average. This has helped Andorra’s hotels and tourism, with some hotels in Andorra concentrating on spa and wellness holidays.
